Customer Technical Service Ruminant (f/m)


The purpose of this position is:

  • Support Species Leader Ruminants and Product Managers within their functions and re-sponsibilities
  • Be first responsible for customer technical support in designated areas
  • Provide technical information and nutritional consultancy to customers to improve cus-tomer relationship
  • Conduct, monitor, analyze and report validation trials with newly developed products for ruminants
  • Conduct, monitor, analyze and report field trials with current products for ruminants alone or in collaboration with regional technical managers
  • Support & help applying recommendations for Delacon’s Ruminant products
  • Disseminate technical information to the sales team via technical notes
  • Present data on scientific symposia
  • Develop and conduct trainings of regional technical managers, sales team and distributors

 

Detailed working tasks are:

  • Identify market requirements for existing and potential new Ruminant products together with regional technical managers
  • Gather information on modes of action of Delacon Ruminant products their ingredients for product argumentation
  • Support development of innovative products in coordination with Species Leaders
  • Support preparation of business plans for new products with Product Managers
  • Collaboration with Species Leader and R&D team in the identification of research institutions & building up a scientific network
  • Supervise product management-related trials performed at research institutions and universities in collaboration with Species Leaders and R&D team
  • Conduct feed formulation studies for Ruminant, maintenance of database for feed formulation software
  • Maintain trial database for all field studies
  • Prepare technical publications of research results in feed magazines & peer-reviewed journals
  • Present research results at conferences, seminars, customer visits and internal trainings
  • Technical support at customer or distributor level – participation in Key Account visits and response to technical inquiries in designated area
  • Collaborate with Species Leader and sales team on customer projects
  • Regular reporting and exchange with the Species Leader on all activities

 

Your qualifications:

  • University diploma in agricultural, nutritional or veterinary sciences or diploma in feed/food technology and strong scientific background
  • Experience in Ruminant nutrition and Ruminant production
  • Excellent communications skills in English
  • Knowledge in MS Office
  • Knowledge in SAS/SPSS and Feed Formulation Software are preferred
  • Team-player, customer focused and cooperative

Species Leader Swine (f/m)

 

The purpose of this position is:


A “Species Leader” at Delacon has the responsibility for product development and technical support for the Delacon product portfolio on a worldwide level and for customer technical services in the designated species. The employee reports directly to and coordinates all his activities with the Director of Product Development and Innovation.

 

Detailed working tasks are:

  • Responsibility for the maintenance and expansion of the swine product portfolio as well as technical customer service
  • Formation and leadership of a multifunctional swine technical team with other members of the organization, such as R&D, product management, production and regulatory affairs
  • Development of innovative products according to the company strategy, together with the R&D team as well as other members of the swine product team
  • Regular reporting and exchange with the management board about product development
  • Giving input and strategic direction to the R&D team for the development of new products
  • Collaboration with R&D in the identification of research institutions & building up a scien-tific network
  • Coordination of targeted scientific and technical publication of research results in feed magazines & peer-reviewed journals
  • Presentation of research results at national & international conferences, seminars, customer visits and internal trainings
  • Assistance for product registration according to EC directive 1831/2003 and in third countries
  • Technical support at customer or distributor level – participation in Key Account visits and response to technical inquiries
  • Collaboration with sales team within customer projects (feeding trials, consultancy and various services)
  • Monthly, the employee will report to the Director of Product Development and Innovation about their activities and projects. On a yearly basis (latest February), the employee will support the product managers as well as the R&D department in planning for the following year, as well as her/his cost budget for the swine department.

 

Your qualifications:

  • University diploma in agricultural, nutritional or veterinary sciences or diploma in feed/food technology and strong scientific background
  • Experience in swine nutrition and swine production
  • Excellent communications skills in English
  • Knowledge in MS Office
  • Knowledge in Feed Formulation Software are preferred
  • Team-player, customer focused and cooperative

Species Leader Swine
 

Strategic Partnership Manager (f/m)

This position is designated to ensure success of multi-disciplinary projects jointly operated by our Partner and Delacon. The ideal candidate will develop and lead projects across different businesses, including project planning and execution, leading to strategic business develop-ment. This position will handle the business management and overall, will actively coordinate the business with our Partner. 

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Identification, selection, prioritization: collect and assess business opportunities with our Partner worldwide; size project team (workload and competences) necessary to achieve the project in the right time frame; identify risks and other opportunities linked to this pro-ject; submit new opportunities to Delacon Executive Committee to validate a selection in a timely manner.
  • Daily project management: launch the project with the dedicated team (Delacon/Partner); define action plan; follow-up achievement; bring some help to the project team; be a methodological support at a local level when necessary.
  • Projects coordination: follow-up all opportunities achievement; manage resources con-flicts -manage risks by occurrence and severity; assess and follow-up general costs asso-ciated to projects.
  • Projects reporting: submit a business and project activity reporting to Delacon Executive Committee; ensure communication in projects’ teams; ensure internal communication with-in Delacon.
  • Partnership Management: Relationship Management (cultivation of the contact, creation and maintenance of the relationship and trust); Opportunity Management (Identify and evaluate our partner’s needs; propose opportunities and assess them through business case; manage pricing and distribution contracts); Problem solving attitude and service ori-ented (acknowledge all our Partners’ requests and forward them to the related depart-ments of Delacon; manage and follow-up delivery to request and guarantee an answer to our Partner in due time); Supervision of Regional Sales activities (supervise and synchronize regional
    actions with impact to our Partner; supervise and coordinate actions requested by our Partner at regional level).

 

Your qualifications:

  • Masters level degree or MBA (field of study in Business Administration and General Man-agement, International Business/Trade/Commerce, or related field)
  • Demonstrated strong business development skills are desirable
  • Profound experience in feed industry is preferred
  • Knowledge of business and management principles, involved in strategic planning, re-source allocation and leadership technique
  • Experience leading projects
  • Strong/excellent communication (English) and active listening skills, excellent written com-munication abilities
  • Sufficient business-based knowledge to bring methodological support at a local level
  • Strong collaborative skills working across diverse groups and in virtual teams
  • Ability to travel up to 50 % including worldwide travel

  • Conduct, monitor, analyze and report field trials with current products for poultry alone or in collaboration with regional technical managers
  • Support & help applying recommendations for Delacon’s poultry products
  • Disseminate technical information to the sales team via technical notes
  • Present data on scientific symposia
  • Develop and conduct trainings of regional technical managers, sales team and distributors
  • Promote and extend the sales of Delacon poultry products with the sales team

  • Initiate market intelligence in designated areas
