Regional Sales Manager Mediterranean

 

 The purpose of this position is:

This position is designed to follow up existing and develop new customers in the Mediterranean region, focusing on Italy, Spain, Turkey and the Maghreb countries. Reporting to the Sales Group Leader EMEA-LA the new colleague performs and coordinates our sales activities in the area assigned to him/her, in order to achieve maximum sales and profit performance of feed additives in relation to the yearly budget established for his/her market segment.

  

Your detailed tasks will be:

  • directly following up and developing actual accounts: actively supporting and selling our products to existing accounts, also seeking new opportunities within these
  • establishing and developing new accounts
  • developing and managing the internal sales pipeline
  • closely collaborating with Delacon`s technical team in order to maximize the support provided for your customers, including organizing and managing field trials, studies, customer visits, development projects, trainings, etc.
  • proactive sector networking: participating in fairs, conferences and symposia relevant for your business area. Organising customer activities with our marketing team (specific seminars, visits to our production facility in Steyregg, conference participations, etc.)
  • actively working together with the other departments of the company: collecting and sharing information on our competitors, market trends, business opportunities and success stories with the relevant units. Close teamwork with the colleagues in the EMEA-LA Region is expected.
  • budget responsibility: full responsibility on yearly budget in terms of turnover, forecasting and cost analysis in the given area.

 

 

You are bringing with you:

  • an MSc or PhD in animal / nutritional sciences or feed / food technology
  • commercial experience gained within the animal feed industry (preferably 5-7 years)
  • previous experience with the sales of phytogenic feed additives will be a clear advantage
  • people management experience is a plus
  • besides your mother tongue (preferably Italian, Spanish or French) an advanced level of English, both spoken and written
  • strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • ability to travel (maximum 50% of your worktime)

The purpose of this position is:

The purpose of this job is to provide active technical support for using Delacon products on a regional market in alignment with overall business objectives to maximize profitable sales, to meet targets and exploit business opportunities in a fast-growing market. This product-oriented technical support will be delivered to sales staffs of Delacon and of Distributors, as well as to Delacon direct customers.

 

Your detailed working tasks and responsibilities are:

  • advise and provide necessary technical solutions to customers (if possible) during feed mill and farm visits: feed formulation, feed technology, quality control, farm management…
  • conduct technical training in-house and train distributors about Delacon products and relay Delacon footprint on the market
  • upon the request of the Sales Group Leader Asia, train customer staff, organize and coordinate seminars when necessary
  • provide leadership and coordinate with all parties related to the implementation, commissioning and wrapping up all trial projects
  • technically assist sales representatives during visits to key customers
  • help to translate and formulate outcome from trials or from other related technical information, shared with Product Development & Innovation team
  • continuously seek new knowledge and update the related or useful technical information for the benefit of sales and marketing team
  • generate technical support material on a regular basis to support Delacon business activities
  • represent Delacon at scientific conferences and technical seminars
  • help to coordinate all technical issues including matters concerning product registration with Delacon Regulatory Affairs located in Austria
  • being aware about marketing activities and new products, providing advice and giving feedback about sales performance

 

Your expected qualifications and skills:

  • university degree in agricultural, nutritional or veterinary sciences, minimum of MSc degree
  • minimum of 8 years´ work experience in animal nutrition industry or in feed additives business, practical experience in animal feed formulation, research experience
  • customer-oriented, proactive personality, seeking for opportunities
  • team working spirit is a must
  • capability of working independently, setting priorities and organizing work effectively
  • flexibility, open minded-nature, keen to develop a market and ready for challenge
  • positive and friendly attitude
  • excellent English skills (written and spoken)
  • travelling: maximum 50% of working time

Sales Manager Poultry - Poland

 

The purpose of the position is:

to follow and develop the sales of Delacon products with the already existing customers in Poland`s poultry segment and to create and develop new business relationships. Reporting to the Country Manager of Delacon Poland, the new colleague performs and coordinates necessary field sales activities and manages his/her sales territory, including feed producers and poultry farms, in order to achieve maximum sales and profit performance of feed additives in relation to the yearly budget established for his/her market segment.

  

Your detailed tasks and responsibilities are:

  • creating new business relationships with major poultry accounts, genuinely presenting the technical and applied benefits of Delacon`s products
  • developing and maintaining marketing and technical competencies in the company`s product line and the products of our current and emerging competitors
  • ensuring the timely processing of sales orders
  • developing, modifying or adding products for new or existing customers, closely cooperating with research, tech support and marketing teams
  • performing field sales activities, managing the territory assigned
  • evaluating and determining the product mix to fulfill the customers` needs, developing sales strategies
  • gathering and communicating information on competitors` products internally
  • participating in marketing projects, feed programs together with the colleagues in Poland and Eastern Europe
  • actively cooperating with the Regional Technical Manager in Poland
  • developing and managing the internal sales pipeline

 

 Your expected qualifications and professional background:

  • BSc or MSc in animal science, animal nutrition or veterinary medicine
  • 7-10 years of relevant sales experience (ideally feed additives), mainly gained in the poultry sector
  • sound knowledge in animal nutrition and health

  

Regarding your skills and personality, we need:

  • outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and spoken
  • good presentational skills
  • strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • flexibility
  • ability to handle and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, in a result-oriented commercial environment
  • ability to work under pressure and to cope with deadlines.

 

What you need to know yet:

  • the employment contract is concluded with Delacon Poland
  • the position is home office-based in Poland (ideally Warsaw), you shall have the capability to work independently, setting priorities and effectively organizing your working days
  • even though you shall communicate in Polish with your customers, the internal communication language with your direct line manager and colleagues outside Delacon Poland is English
  • you will spend ca 60-80% of your work time travelling (mostly in Poland), an active B-category driving license is needed (company car provided).
