Customer Technical Service Swine (f/m)

 

The purpose of this position is:

  • Support Species Leader Swine and Product Managers within their functions and responsibilities
  • Be first responsible for customer technical support on products in designated areas
  • Provide technical information and nutritional consultancy to customers to improve customer relationships
  • Conduct, monitor, analyze and report validation trials with newly developed products for swine
  • Conduct, monitor, analyze and report demonstration trials with current products for swine alone or in collaboration with regional technical managers
  • Support and help to apply recommendations for Delacon’s swine products
  • Disseminate technical information to the sales team via technical notes
  • Present data on scientific symposia
  • Develop and conduct technical trainings of regional technical managers, sales team and distributors

 

 

Detailed working tasks are:

  • Gather information on modes of action of Delacon swine products and their ingredients for product argumentation
  • Support development of innovative products in coordination with Species Leader Swine
  • Support preparation of business plans for new products with Product Managers
  • Collaboration with Species Leader and R&D team in the identification of research institutions & building up a scientific network
  • Supervise product management-related trials performed at research institutions and uni-versitiesuniversities in collaboration with Species Leader Swine and Product Managers
  • Maintain trial database for all validation and demonstration studies in swine
  • Prepare technical publications of research results in feed magazines & peer-reviewed journals
  • Present research results at conferences, seminars, customer visits and internal trainings
  • Technical support at customer or distributor level – participation in Key Account visits and response to technical inquiries in designated area
  • Collaborate with Species Leader and sales team on customer projects
  • Regular reporting and exchange with the Species Leader on all activities

 

 

Your qualifications:

  • University diploma in agricultural, nutritional or veterinary sciences or diploma in feed/food technology and strong scientific background
  • Experience in swine nutrition and swine production
  • Excellent communications skills in English
  • Knowledge in MS Office
  • Knowledge in SAS/SPSS and Feed Formulation Software are preferred
  • Teamplayer, customer focused and cooperative

Product Manager (f/m)

As part of Delacon’s continued growth, we are looking for a


Product Manager (f/m)


Delacon is building a new department – Strategic Marketing (StM) – in order to secure further growth of the company. Main responsibilities of this department include the definition and coordination of Delacon’s corporate strategy for products and services in agreement with the executive board. The StM department is the intersection between Sales and Product Development & Innovation (PDI).


Within this department, responsibilities are allocated to different Product Managers, who work in project management on a routine basis in order to achieve tasks. Each Product Manager is in charge of individual projects and tasks and works in close collaboration with the abovementioned departments in order to define the product strategy globally and for regional markets. He/she has a cross functional role, working with different departments to ensure the product strategy is defined and executed.

 

Essential duties and responsibilities/Detailed working tasks are:

  • Strategic marketing and portfolio management: develop strategic marketing plans for new products or existing products in new markets; identify gaps and new opportunities for products and services; work with key stakeholders within the company to support the deployment of solutions, adapt the portfolio and marketing material to regional or local needs; support local activities such as visits, seminars & trainings; product life cycle management.
  • Product positioning: define positioning of new products in cooperation with PDI and Sales; define pricing of new products in cooperation with Sales.
  • Support product launch: prepare the launch of designated products together with PDI, Sales and Regulatory Affairs; coordinate launch activities on global and regional level; coordinate preparation of sales kits and tools; ensure product documentation is up to date (leaflets, folders, technical articles, trial reports, presentations) in cooperation with marketing and R&D.
  • Project management: build project teams; prepare business plans and coordinate execution thereof; lead work streams and follow-up on achievements; ensure a timely workflow.
  • Reporting: closely communicate the progress of projects; monitor and report the achieve-ment of milestones.
  • Market intelligence: collect and distribute market information in close collaboration with Sales; collect competitor information and monitor competitor activities globally and in key markets; identify and share trends that influence the animal nutrition industry; build database of information with the team and share internally.

 

 

Your qualifications:

  • BSc or MSc degree in an animal or a natural science discipline or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of business and market principals
  • 2+ years of experience in product management, strategic marketing or similar areas
  • Proven project management experience, ability to deliver tasks as promised and with high integrity and quality
  • High accountability, high autonomy, strong initiative, with a sense-of-urgency and an entrepreneurial approach
  • Strategic thinking ability
  • Strong organisational and methodical problem-solving skills
  • Strong/excellent communication (English) and active listening skills, ability to adapt to different audiences and contexts and excellent written communication abilities
  • Solid interpersonal skills, relationship building, team player, willing to share and utilize knowledge.
  • Ability to travel up to 20 – 30 % including worldwide travel

  • Be first responsible for customer technical support in designated areas
  • Provide technical information and nutritional consultancy to customers to improve cus-tomer relationship
  • Conduct, monitor, analyze and report validation trials with newly developed products for ruminants
  • Conduct, monitor, analyze and report field trials with current products for ruminants alone or in collaboration with regional technical managers
  • Support & help applying recommendations for Delacon’s Ruminant products
  • Disseminate technical information to the sales team via technical notes
  • Present data on scientific symposia
  • Develop and conduct trainings of regional technical managers, sales team and distributors

  • Identify market requirements for existing and potential new Ruminant products together with regional technical managers
  • Gather information on modes of action of Delacon Ruminant products their ingredients for product argumentation
  • Support development of innovative products in coordination with Species Leaders
  • Support preparation of business plans for new products with Product Managers
  • Collaboration with Species Leader and R&D team in the identification of research institutions & building up a scientific network
  • Supervise product management-related trials performed at research institutions and universities in collaboration with Species Leaders and R&D team
  • Conduct feed formulation studies for Ruminant, maintenance of database for feed formulation software
  • Maintain trial database for all field studies
  • Prepare technical publications of research results in feed magazines & peer-reviewed journals
  • Present research results at conferences, seminars, customer visits and internal trainings
  • Technical support at customer or distributor level – participation in Key Account visits and response to technical inquiries in designated area
  • Collaborate with Species Leader and sales team on customer projects
  • Regular reporting and exchange with the Species Leader on all activities

 

Your qualifications:

The purpose of this position is:


A “Species Leader” at Delacon has the responsibility for product development and technical support for the Delacon product portfolio on a worldwide level and for customer technical services in the designated species. The employee reports directly to and coordinates all his/her activities with the Director of Product Development and Innovation.

 

Detailed working tasks are:

  • Responsibility for the maintenance and expansion of the swine product portfolio as well as technical customer service
  • Formation and leadership of a multifunctional swine technical team with other members of the organization, such as R&D, product management, production and regulatory affairs
  • Development of innovative products according to the company strategy, together with the R&D team as well as other members of the swine product team
  • Regular reporting and exchange with the management board about product development
  • Giving input and strategic direction to the R&D team for the development of new products
  • Collaboration with R&D in the identification of research institutions & building up a scien-tific network
  • Coordination of targeted scientific and technical publication of research results in feed magazines & peer-reviewed journals
  • Presentation of research results at national & international conferences, seminars, customer visits and internal trainings
  • Assistance for product registration according to EC directive 1831/2003 and in third countries
  • Technical support at customer or distributor level – participation in Key Account visits and response to technical inquiries
  • Collaboration with sales team within customer projects (feeding trials, consultancy and various services)
  • Monthly, the employee will report to the Director of Product Development and Innovation about their activities and projects. On a yearly basis (latest February), the employee will support the product managers as well as the R&D department in planning for the following year, as well as her/his cost budget for the swine department.

 

Your qualifications:
