The purpose of this job is to actively support technically Delacon products on a regional market in alignment with overall business objectives to maximize profitable sales, to meet targets and exploit business opportunities in a fast-growing market. This product oriented technical support will be delivered to sales staffs of Delacon and of Distributors as well as to Delacon direct customers across all animal species.

 

 

  • Advise and provide necessary technical solutions to customers (if possible) during feed mill and farm visits: diet calculation, audit, analysis, etc. 
  • Conducts technical training to in-house or train distributors about Delacon products and relay Delacon footprint on the market
  • Upon request by Regional Sales Manager, train customer staffs, organize and coordinate seminars when necessary
  • Provides leadership and coordinates with all parties related to the Implementation, commissioning and wrapping up all trial projects
  • Assists technically sales representatives during visits to Key Accounts
  • Helps to translate and to formulate outcome from trials or from other related technical information shared with Product Development & Innovation team
  • Continues to seek new knowledge and updates the related or useful technical information for the benefit of sales and marketing team
  • Generates technical support material on regular basis to support Delacon business activities
    Representation of Delacon at scientific conferences and technical seminars
  • Helps to coordinate all technical issues including matters concerning product registration with Delacon Regulatory Affairs located in Austria
  • Be aware about marketing activities and new products and provide advices and give some feedbacks about sales performance

 

  • University degree in agricultural, nutritional or veterinary sciences or diploma in feed/food technology
  • Five years of work experience in animal nutrition industry or in feed additives business, practical experience in animal feed formulation, research experience
  • Proximity: Closeness of the technical relationship to the geographical area Asia
  • Being customer-oriented, proactive and seeking for opportunities
  • Team working spirit is a must

The International Recruiter will be based in Steyregg, Austria, and is responsible for delivering all facets of recruiting success. This position will be responsible, especially, for recruiting international employees based in their respective home/region.
The International Recruiter is responsible for attracting, identifying, and assessing qualified candidates for job vacancies and plays a critical role in ensuring that the best possible talent is hired.   • Completed university studies (university or college) ideally with specialization in personnel management or relevant work experience
  • Three to five years recruiting experience, preferably in an international company
  • Specialist know-how in all topics relating to international recruitment and very good German and English communication skills
  • Excellent social skills and intercultural understanding, which guarantees a quick connection to the new environment
  • Ability to develop flexible and solution-oriented alternatives, make timely decisions, exercise discretion and maintain a high degree of confidentiality

Your qualifications:

Delacon is building a new department – Strategic Marketing (StM) – in order to secure further growth of the company. Main responsibilities of this department include the definition and coordination of Delacon’s corporate strategy for products and services in agreement with the executive board. The StM department is the intersection between Sales and Product Development & Innovation (PDI).


Within this department, responsibilities are allocated to different Product Managers, who work in project management on a routine basis in order to achieve tasks. Each Product Manager is in charge of individual projects and tasks and works in close collaboration with the abovementioned departments in order to define the product strategy globally and for regional markets. He/she has a cross functional role, working with different departments to ensure the product strategy is defined and executed.

 

Essential duties and responsibilities/Detailed working tasks are:

  • Strategic marketing and portfolio management: develop strategic marketing plans for new products or existing products in new markets; identify gaps and new opportunities for products and services; work with key stakeholders within the company to support the deployment of solutions, adapt the portfolio and marketing material to regional or local needs; support local activities such as visits, seminars & trainings; product life cycle management.
  • Product positioning: define positioning of new products in cooperation with PDI and Sales; define pricing of new products in cooperation with Sales.
  • Support product launch: prepare the launch of designated products together with PDI, Sales and Regulatory Affairs; coordinate launch activities on global and regional level; coordinate preparation of sales kits and tools; ensure product documentation is up to date (leaflets, folders, technical articles, trial reports, presentations) in cooperation with marketing and R&D.
  • Project management: build project teams; prepare business plans and coordinate execution thereof; lead work streams and follow-up on achievements; ensure a timely workflow.
  • Reporting: closely communicate the progress of projects; monitor and report the achieve-ment of milestones.
  • Market intelligence: collect and distribute market information in close collaboration with Sales; collect competitor information and monitor competitor activities globally and in key markets; identify and share trends that influence the animal nutrition industry; build database of information with the team and share internally.

 

 

Your qualifications:

  • BSc or MSc degree in an animal or a natural science discipline or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of business and market principals
  • 2+ years of experience in product management, strategic marketing or similar areas
  • Proven project management experience, ability to deliver tasks as promised and with high integrity and quality
  • High accountability, high autonomy, strong initiative, with a sense-of-urgency and an entrepreneurial approach
  • Strategic thinking ability
  • Strong organisational and methodical problem-solving skills
  • Strong/excellent communication (English) and active listening skills, ability to adapt to different audiences and contexts and excellent written communication abilities

  • Support development of innovative products in coordination with Species Leaders
  • Support preparation of business plans for new products with Product Managers
  • Collaboration with Species Leader and R&D team in the identification of research institutions & building up a scientific network
  • Supervise product management-related trials performed at research institutions and universities in collaboration with Species Leaders and R&D team
  • Conduct feed formulation studies for Ruminant, maintenance of database for feed formulation software
  • Maintain trial database for all field studies
  • Prepare technical publications of research results in feed magazines & peer-reviewed journals

The purpose of this position is:


A “Species Leader” at Delacon has the responsibility for product development and technical support for the Delacon product portfolio on a worldwide level and for customer technical services in the designated species. The employee reports directly to and coordinates all his/her activities with the Director of Product Development and Innovation.

 

Detailed working tasks are:

  • Responsibility for the maintenance and expansion of the swine product portfolio as well as technical customer service
  • Formation and leadership of a multifunctional swine technical team with other members of the organization, such as R&D, product management, production and regulatory affairs
  • Development of innovative products according to the company strategy, together with the R&D team as well as other members of the swine product team
  • Regular reporting and exchange with the management board about product development
  • Giving input and strategic direction to the R&D team for the development of new products
  • Collaboration with R&D in the identification of research institutions & building up a scien-tific network
  • Coordination of targeted scientific and technical publication of research results in feed magazines & peer-reviewed journals
  • Presentation of research results at national & international conferences, seminars, customer visits and internal trainings
  • Assistance for product registration according to EC directive 1831/2003 and in third countries
  • Technical support at customer or distributor level – participation in Key Account visits and response to technical inquiries

  • Monthly, the employee will report to the Director of Product Development and Innovation about their activities and projects. On a yearly basis (latest February), the employee will support the product managers as well as the R&D department in planning for the following year, as well as her/his cost budget for the swine department.
