Feed Strategy Seminar

Dr. Jan Dirk van der Klis will take part in this symposium and panel discussion, and share his expertise in the modes of action of phytogenic feed additives. This will help to spread awareness of the category's potential to counter the use of antibiotic growth promoters (AGPs). Suppliers, researchers, and end-users will get together at this event to discuss this issue.

Why is this so important?

Controversies over the use of AGPs keep growing, and despite its prohibition in many regions worldwide, it is still not entirely banned. However, the pressure is not only coming from new regulations but also on the consumer level: Millennial foodies increasingly look for products that are raised without antibiotics, as consumer surverys in Thailand and the US show.

Delacon has conducted a survey among consumers born between 1981 and 1996. A generation that puts a strong focus on food production, and which has strongly been influencing society in recent years; Millennials and Millennial Foodies.
