Why are studies like this one so important?
Pressure on reducing environmental impacts in the dairy industry is on the rise and can no longer be ignored. However, performance in this field cannot be affected and the animals’ welfare needs to be ensured as well. The industry is, thus, facing a challenge that requires continuous research to optimize the balance between a low impact on the environment while maintaining high performance and assuring animal wellbeing.
