A phytogenic solution to improve milk yield in dairy cows and to boost performance of beef cattle and small ruminants

In a similar way like ACTIFOR® PRO, ACTIFOR® BOOST improves ruminant performance and thus, decreases your feed costs. ACTIFOR® BOOST influences the digestive tract on the level of the rumen as well as in the small intestine, both to optimize protein utilization and energy uptake.

How does ACTIFOR® BOOST work?

ACTIFOR® BOOST helps to shift the microflora in the rumen of dairy cows: by reducing the number of protozoa, methanogens and hyper ammonia producing bacteria, ACTIFOR® BOOST causes less nutrient competition for bacteria. Thus, more volatile fatty acids and microbial protein are produced resulting in a better protein and energy efficiency in the rumen. The sophisticated formulation of essential oils, spices and saponins supports the energy supply for milk production due to a diminished production of methane and ammonia.

The positive influence of ACTIFOR® BOOST on the ruminal microflora and on the production of volatile fatty acids improves feed efficiency and helps to support the immune system in ruminants. Furthermore, Delacon’s phytogenic feed additive is potent to improve milk yield and improves milk protein content.

ACTIFOR® BOOST is used also to improve average daily gain and muscle deposition in heifers and beef cattle. This product also helps to prevent a drop in production and intake during the hot season.

Product application

ACTIFOR® BOOST can be applied “on-top” in the feed ration without changing the diet. Alternatively, ACTIFOR® BOOST can be applied according to our PERFORMIZER® concept, using nutritional matrix values to reduce feed costs by optimizing the total mixed ration.

General dosage recommendation:

  • 5-6 g/day in dairy cows depending on milk yield
  • 2-6 g/day in beef cattle and heifers depending on weight
  • 1 g/day in ewes and goats
  • 0.8-1 g/day in lambs
